It’s Raining Forest – Hallelujah

Day 17 starts with us waking on the edge of the rainforest. A big breakfast and lots of tea sets us up for a day of trekking and exploring.

We have an amazing guide who pulls edibles from plants and hands them round like candy. I’m eating fresh cloves and mystery leafs of interesting tastes and texture.

It’s wonderful to walk so close to wild nature but have a slight sense of security knowing that you have an expert close by.

It’s not long until my face is inches from pit vipers, hump nose lizards and giant spiders. These are things that I have only ever seen in nature programmes and I’m so greatful to be able to see them in the wild.

It starting to worry that my blog is turning into a hot spot of hyperbole but this is one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life.

Today I visited a rainforest, poured salt on my socks to ward off leeches, saw snakes, monkeys a giant millipede and even more giant squirrel . I ate lunch in the forest and swan below a waterfall.

If this is not nice then I don’t know what is.
